I'm not too sure who he calls or why. or what he does even). None of us knew, so I had to google it. I think this one is overkill, frankly: http://www.superstart.org/phonng1.htm Once we found out that it's "ing" we realized we should have already known that, and started singing Ana Ng. I don't know all the words, but it's still in my head.|W|P|113329892024927038|W|P|Ng Pronounced Like Ng|W|P|orangewalk@gmail.com11/26/2005 05:30:00 PM|W|P|amy|W|P|rare is the day that passes in which i don't eat at least one bowl of granola and soy milk. i like cereal as a meal. it's probably the easiest thing in the world to make (if you can call pouring milk and cereal into a bowl "making" something) and i don't have to wash any pots or berate myself for nuking a frozen burrito again. yet somewhere within me is a sleeping culinary princess--one who will someday be awoken by the kiss of true kitchen love and live happily ever after as a domestic goddess. i have a lot riding on this. and so despite my present (and certainly temporary) propensity for pasta, sandwiches, and soups, this week has had me longing for an apron. sunday started off the trend with a 3 tiered birthday cake which can't be explained much beyond the picture. thursday i really did bake a cherry pie. not from scratch, but i made a lattice, which surely domestifies me that much more. tonight is a cheese ball. watch out, amy sedaris.|W|P|113304564469446989|W|P|the stepford bachelorette|W|P|orangewalk@gmail.com11/18/2005 12:01:00 AM|W|P|amy|W|P|Jo painted her tater tot masterpiece one Fine Art Friday when Napoleon Dynamite was still at Sundance. She took it home and put it on our door and everyone assumed it was about tater tots. When Napoleon came to New York, everyone thought she was funny. Later she moved out. Another roommate moved in, then another. But the tot sign remained. Last night, Kia came to our apartment. Tater tots are her favorite. She thinks there should be a tater tot perfume. I took down the painting and gave it to her. Surely Jo would have wanted it that way.|W|P|113229050379934245|W|P|give me one of your tots|W|P|orangewalk@gmail.com11/09/2005 01:46:00 PM|W|P|amy|W|P|the 1st of every month, Corina and I go to a vegetarian restaurant where we've never been. This month was Sacred Chow, and didn't end up on the 1st, but what can you do? Here's a review: Sacred Chow Sacred Chow is a delightful vegan restaurant tucked away on Sullivan Street just off of West 4th. One thing that really added to its charm was the couple with the toddler who sat next to us. When they first walked in, I thought, "Oh great, crying baby." But the kid (I think his name was "Cole") didn't do too much crying, and he got really excited when the server brought him a book. It turns out the store owner also has a toddler. I never figured out whether the couple who brought him was dating, or married. It was clearly her son. I'm not sure if it was his. I'd like to think it was. There aren't enough vegan couples out there, and this would be one more. Also they were with someone's mom, I think, and you don't usually go out with one of your moms unless it's really serious. Yeah, they were probably married. We noticed that Cole's mom ate a lot of the Tapas. Corina and I split five between the two of us, and couldn't finish them all. But she got three and ate everything. We liked the crostinis and hommus a lot. The carrier thingy kind of got in the way of our conversation. There was one thing that was kind of spicy, and I didn't try the mushrooms. I would go back. But hopefully next time it won't be so rainy, because it was just wet and rainy all night.|W|P|113208054781396014|W|P|sacred chow, mormonism, and new york dolls|W|P|orangewalk@gmail.com11/08/2005 07:07:00 PM|W|P|amy|W|P|i heard 'Transmission Party' today which of course made me think of amber and mitch. it's a thin pancake that only has one side, and having super-creative friends can be a crazy dynamic. on one hand they inspire you and all that. but at the end of the day, you're not them, and it's a little depressing. well, props to the girls who put this together. i think i'll watch it again and try to rock away my inferiority complex: http://homepage.mac.com/mitch.clark/iMovieTheater6.html|W|P|113149514294496670|W|P|lucky lucky you're so lucky|W|P|orangewalk@gmail.com11/07/2005 10:51:00 AM|W|P|amy|W|P|if spiderman and superman were in a rap-off, who would win? points to consider: spiderman spends more time in the streets spiderman is a science nerd clark kent was a reporter and had a "gift with words" spiderman has been in the ring|W|P|113137882063616148|W|P|Spiderman V Superman|W|P|orangewalk@gmail.com11/03/2005 07:55:00 PM|W|P|amy|W|P|dear jo, how was your halloween? i stayed at home with a cold. figures. hillary moved in. she has tons of stuff but it's all so cool. you would love it. it makes me feel bad i didn't have more furniture for you when you were here. you're never online and you're never in new york. i wish you were here to help me buy a suit. i think we should start putting our real quote wall quotes on our virtual quote wall. when i was helping hillary move in i kept reading the quotes and it made me wish i didn't have to stand in the hallway to see them. i can't hear snow patrol without thinking of you.|W|P|113106621627667644|W|P|things i would talk to jo about if she returned my calls|W|P|orangewalk@gmail.com
